What a week it’s been, probably one of my best after coming to Bangalore. To summarize the events,

sprint deadlines, work late, legacy systems, ecstasy(cafe), addiction(cafe),  barton fink(movie), meetings, curse IE, bamboo shoots(restaurant), bowling @ amoeba, meet family, home food, football, dostana(movie), taken(movie), skandagiri, night trek, get drenched in rain.

I doubt if I’ll be able to move a muscle tomorrow. Time for some much needed rest.

Now that I have a domain name of my own, thought I’ll move my blog to it and use good ol’ simple wordpress to maintain it. Setting it up took mere minutes and thanks to ljarchive, I could export all my livejournal posts in a jiffy. Also, trying out a plugin that will apparently cross post to livejournal.

Every single South Park episode right from the first to the latest can be viewed on their official site for free! Yes, you read that right. This news was like a godsend on a slow Tuesday morning.So what are you waiting for? Here’s the link, go check it out yourself!

Now that’s what I call useful research. And i wouldn’t mind following the findings to a tee.

Feels good to be back home after a long time. There seems to be a rock concert going on at Durbar Hall Ground,around 500 metres away from my house. I can listen to them playing “The Roadhouse Blues” from my room. Apparently its a concert for charity. Times surely are changing. Although I doubt if anyone is watching these guys perform.

Saw the movie this weekend. Now I know why Al Pacino is considered to be one of the best actors of his generation.

Completed 6 months at Yahoo! this week. Had an All Hands yesterday, the 4th since I’ve joined. Its a good thing that each one was held at a different venue.

The only part of poetry that appeals to me, as you can guess by now, are the rhyming words! Anyways, that was about my first close encounter with a bat. Some say it might be an omen, I’m Batman maybe. Or more likely a vampire? Hmmm…..

Damn those sucky sites that have no hesitation in drawing money from our credit cards but never wonder what they did with it! Thanks to one such site, we didn’t have power at our house since yesterday. No lights, no computer, no ironing, no geyser(in winter)…..well you get the idea.  Plus our cable guy cut our line last week(not that it would help when there’s no power).So basically,there’s been no TV since last week and no power since yesterday. What a life.
And since when did government agencies like the electricity board get so efficient? The due date for last month’s bill was 25th of December and its just been 15 days! The guy in charge obviously has way too much free time on his hands to be going around removing fuses from houses of poor people like us.

Got back from Singapore this week and I must say last week was one of the best weeks in a long time! The trip was awesome, couldn’t go to Malaysia as we had planned before but that meant we could explore Singapore in full detail. Walked a lot, discovered a lot more, ate tons of beef and pork in the form of junk food(I was happy to stay far away from the local cuisines), saw quite a few movies,some on a 37″ LCD screen with a Bose sound system and even a couple in-flight.And to top it off,Madrid won the Clasico!
